This was a startup I did alongside 3 other friends my senior year in high school.
The mission was to simplify 3D printing.
Before launching on Kickstarter we did the following:
- Register a Delaware C-Corp
- File provisional patent
- Have a product demo & marketing materials ready
The coolest feature we built was a "one-click print", which somehow you still can't do today (due to slicing being done on computers, not the printers)
We ultimately raised $11k out of $30k, which is an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign. We wound the company down shortly thereafter, but it was a ton of fun and a great effort from the team.
